Why Choose a Therapy Intensive?

Traditional 50-minute therapy sessions can sometimes feel like just enough time to surface issues without fully addressing them. Therapy Intensives break this cycle by offering extended sessions that allow for:

  • In-depth exploration of persistent patterns and challenges.

  • Accelerated progress through focused, uninterrupted time.

  • Immediate relief from chronic stress, anxiety, or emotional pain.

Whether you're navigating trauma, chronic pain, or professional burnout, Therapy Intensives provide a dedicated space to process and heal.

Therapy Intensives

FAQ

  • Therapy intensives are a premium, high-impact service—designed to give you focused, uninterrupted time to do deep healing work that weekly sessions often can’t hold.

My rate is $400/hour. Most intensives are 3 hours to 6 hours, starting at $1,200.
    This includes:

    • An intake + consultation

    • Personalized treatment planning

    • The intensive session

    • A 30-minute integration and closure

To reserve your intensive, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session. Therapy intensives require 72 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling to avoid the full charge.

  • Definitely! Many insurance plans may reimburse a portion of the cost (typically PPO plans). I’ll provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance.

Coverage varies based on your plan—especially when it comes to several hours of therapy in one day. I recommend calling the number on the back of your card and asking:

    • What are my out-of-network benefits for mental health?

    • Will my plan reimburse for multiple hours of therapy in one day or one week?

Please know that the insurance company requires a diagnosis code as a reason for treatment.

I’m happy to provide any documentation you need to support this process.

  • A 3-6 hour intensive creates space to slow down, go deeper, and actually stay with what matters. Many people find they gain clarity, relief, and momentum that would otherwise take months to build in weekly therapy.

For complex trauma, a one-day intensive is often just the beginning. Some clients choose to return for additional intensives monthly or quarterly as a way to continue the deeper work with more space and time.

  • Multi-day intensives offer extended time to move through deeper layers of trauma without having to start and stop each day. Clients often describe them as a mix of therapy and retreat: deeply transformative, spacious, and immersive.

With two or three days together, we’re able to build trust, stay with the work, and move through multiple layers of what’s keeping you stuck—whether that’s relational trauma, chronic stress, or patterns that haven’t budged through weekly therapy.

We’ll talk together in our consultation about what format feels best for your needs, history, and goals.

To support your healing, I strongly recommend leaving time outside of sessions open or filled only with supportive practices—like rest, massage, walks, journaling, or anything that helps you feel grounded and connected.

  • Not necessarily. Many clients experience meaningful shifts after just one session. However, if you’re working with multiple layers of trauma or want extended time to explore, you might benefit from a two- or three-day format. We’ll explore the best fit during your free consultation.

Regardless of format, I encourage you to create unscheduled space around your intensive—time for rest, integration, and care.

  • Currently, I can only provide therapy intensives to clients physically located in the state of Arizona at the time of our session, whether in person or online. If you're from out of state, you're welcome to travel to Arizona for an in-person intensive. Many clients find this travel adds to the experience—giving them time and space to fully focus on their healing.

  • We’ll begin with a free 15-minute consultation to talk about what’s bringing you in, what kind of support you’re looking for, and whether an intensive feels like the right fit. If we decide to move forward, I’ll help you schedule your session and guide you through the preparation process.
