Therapy Intensives in Phoenix, Arizona

TL;DR:
If weekly therapy hasn’t been enough to move the needle, therapy intensives offer focused, extended sessions that help you process more deeply, make faster progress, and finally feel relief from what’s been weighing you down. Serving clients in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa, Tucson, and across Arizona.

Deep, Focused Healing for Busy Individuals

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or burnt out—and traditional weekly therapy just isn’t cutting it?
Our therapy intensives in Phoenix, AZ, give you the space, time, and dedicated focus to work through what’s been holding you back.

These extended sessions are ideal for motivated adults who are ready to engage in deep, concentrated work and create meaningful change. Whether you’re navigating trauma, chronic pain, burnout, or a major life transition, intensives offer a powerful alternative to the stop-and-start pace of weekly sessions.

Why Choose a Therapy Intensive?

In traditional 50-minute therapy, just as you’re starting to go deep, the session ends.
Therapy intensives break that cycle by giving you uninterrupted time for:

  • In-depth exploration of long-standing patterns and challenges

  • Accelerated progress with focused, extended work

  • Immediate relief from chronic stress, anxiety, or emotional pain

  • Integration strategies you can actually apply to daily life

With a therapy intensive, you’re not just talking about your struggles—you’re creating the time and safety to process them fully.

  • Need rapid progress to address deep-seated issues

Types of Therapy Intensives Offered

1. Trauma Therapy Intensives
For those dealing with complex trauma, PTSD, or unresolved emotional wounds. Using nervous system–based, somatic, and neuroscience-informed approaches, we focus first on creating safety and stability before moving into deeper processing work. Our goal is to address the root causes of distress—not just manage symptoms—at a pace that feels right for you.

2. Chronic Pain & Nervous System Regulation
For clients experiencing chronic pain, fatigue, or dysregulation. This intensive explores the mind-body connection and helps reduce physical symptoms linked to emotional stress.

3. High Achievers & Perfectionism
For professionals and parents who seem to “have it all” but feel burned out and unfulfilled. We address the beliefs driving overwork and help you cultivate balance and self-compassion.

4. Therapy for Therapists & Providers
A confidential space for healthcare providers to process their own challenges, prevent burnout, and reconnect with their purpose.

5. Custom Intensives
For grief, life transitions, identity shifts, or other challenges that need focused emotional support.

FAQs About Intensive Therapy

  • Therapy intensives are a premium, high-impact service—designed to give you focused, uninterrupted time for deep healing work that weekly sessions often can’t hold.

    Rates:

    • $400/hour for weekday sessions

    • $500/hour for weekend sessions (limited availability)

    • Most intensives are 3–6 hours, starting at $1,200

    • Includes intake + consultation, personalized treatment planning, the intensive session, and integration

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due on the day of your intensive.

  • Possibly. Many PPO insurance plans reimburse a portion of out-of-network therapy. I’ll provide you with a superbill you can submit to your insurance.

Coverage varies, so call your provider and ask:

    • What are my out-of-network mental health benefits?

    • Will my plan reimburse for multiple hours of therapy in one day or week?

Please note: insurance requires a diagnosis code for reimbursement.

  • Not at all. Many clients start with stabilization and nervous system regulation before moving into deeper processing. Your intensive will be tailored to your needs, whether that’s increasing stabilization, exploring patterns, or processing specific memories.

  • A 3–6 hour intensive allows you to slow down, go deeper, and actually stay with what matters. Many clients leave with clarity, relief, and momentum that would take months to build in weekly therapy.

For complex trauma, one day may be the beginning of a longer process. Some clients return for additional intensives monthly or quarterly.

  • Multi-day intensives offer extended time to move through deeper layers without constant starting and stopping. Many clients describe them as a blend of therapy and retreat—transformative, spacious, and immersive.

This format can be especially powerful for relational trauma, chronic stress, or long-standing patterns. We’ll discuss what’s right for you during your consultation.

  • Not necessarily. Many clients make meaningful progress after one intensive. The right format depends on your goals, history, and the layers you want to address. We’ll explore the best fit together.

Regardless of format, I recommend leaving time before and after your intensive for rest, integration, and self-care.

  • It depends on your goals. Some people schedule a single intensive to focus on one area, while others return for multiple sessions over time. We’ll decide together what’s right for you based on your progress and ongoing needs.

  • I can only provide therapy to clients physically located in Arizona or Connecticut during the session. Arizona sessions can be held virtually or in person. Connecticut sessions are held virtually only. If you live out of state, you’re welcome to travel to Arizona for an in-person intensive. Many clients find travel helps them step away from daily distractions and focus fully on healing.

  • We’ll start with a 15-minute consultation to discuss what’s bringing you in, the kind of support you’re looking for, and whether an intensive is the right fit. If we move forward, we’ll schedule your session and I’ll guide you through preparation so you can make the most of your time.
